Yellow buckets of joy for Christmas
Our team is gearing up to spread Christmas cheer during this year’s annual Yellow Bucket Appeal. Hosted by YellowBridge Queensland, this is the fourth instalment of the ‘buckets of joy’ initiative and the third year we have signed on as the major sponsor.
From December, our team of accountants, advisors, financial planners and auditors, will proudly don their Santa hats and elf ears to help fill 300 buckets of joy. Packed with gourmet Christmas goodies, the buckets will be wrapped and gifted to those in the Toowoomba community who need a helping hand this festive season.
Our Director, Amanda Roberts said that the firm was overjoyed to be involved in the event for another year.
“I was very fortunate to be involved behind-the-scenes of the appeal last year and was blown away by the amount of work involved. The people who donated Christmas goodies were generous, bringing joy to those who otherwise, may not have felt the Christmas spirit,” said Ms Roberts.
“I also had the privilege of personally delivering some of these buckets and witnessed the sheer joy from those who unexpectedly received them. ‘Buckets of Joy’ is such an appropriate name, as that is definitely what they are.” she added.
“I’d encourage everyone to donate towards the appeal this year, knowing the joy that these will bring.”
The Yellow Bucket Appeal gifts gourmet Christmas food items to members and families of our community in need. Donations can include:
- Chocolate coated nuts;
- Sauces and spreads;
- Christmas puddings or cakes;
- Biscuits and crackers;
- Jars of olives, sundried tomatoes, cocktail onions etc;
- Pringles, pretzels and dried nuts;
- Jelly crystals and carton custard;
- Cordial, soft drink or sparkling water; and
- Any type of Christmas food such as rum balls and mince tarts.
